AI Generation Disclaimer
Dendrify uses artificial intelligence to generate educational content. This disclaimer explains how AI is used on our platform, what data is involved, and the limitations you should be aware of.
1. AI Technology Used
Dendrify uses Google Gemini 1.5 Flash to generate explanations, summaries, and educational content within learning nodes. Content can be generated both synchronously and via a streaming interface that displays responses progressively as they are produced.
2. What Data Is Sent to the AI
When you request AI-generated content — by creating a new node or expanding an existing one — the following information is sent to the Google Gemini API:
- Your question or topic for the current node
- The chain of ancestor questions leading to the current node (to maintain learning context across branches)
We do not send your name, email address, or any other personal identifying information to the AI service. Google’s Privacy Policy governs how Google handles data sent to the Gemini API.
3. Content Accuracy and Limitations
AI-generated content has inherent limitations that you should understand before relying on it:
Accuracy
AI models can produce incorrect, outdated, or misleading information. Always verify important facts from authoritative and primary sources.
Hallucination
AI models may confidently state things that are factually incorrect — a phenomenon known as “hallucination.” This is a known limitation of current large language model technology and is not specific to any single provider.
Bias
AI-generated content may reflect biases present in the training data. Content on contested or sensitive topics should be approached with critical thinking.
Currency
AI models have a training data cutoff date and may not reflect the most recent information, events, or developments in fast-moving fields.
4. Not Professional Advice
Content generated on Dendrify is for general educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute:
- Medical or health advice
- Legal advice
- Financial or investment advice
- Any other form of professional or expert advice
Always consult qualified professionals for decisions that may affect your health, legal rights, finances, or other important matters.
5. Rate Limits
To ensure fair access for all users and prevent abuse, AI content generation is limited to 20 requests per hour per user account. This limit applies to both standard and streaming generation modes. If you reach the limit, you will need to wait before generating more content.
6. Responsible Use
You are responsible for evaluating the accuracy and appropriateness of AI-generated content before acting on it. Dendrify provides AI generation as a learning tool to help you explore topics and build structured understanding — not as a definitive source of truth. Use it as a starting point for learning, not a final answer.
7. Content Quality
The quality, depth, and style of AI-generated content can vary depending on how questions are phrased, the complexity of the topic, and the capabilities of the underlying model. We continually evaluate our AI integration and may update the model or prompting strategy to improve content quality over time.
